About Dr. Aylor


Dr. Robin Aylor is a Clinical Psychologist, Licensed in the State of California (PSY16291) since 1999.

A 1995 graduate of the San Diego Campus of California School of Professional Psychology, Dr. Aylor completed her Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Alvarado Parkway Institute in La Mesa, California.  She began her career in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego working with the Psychopharmacology Research Program (PRP).  In 1999, she was became licensed as a Psychologist and was promoted to Coordinator of PRP.

After several years of working in clinical and psychopharmacology research she recognized that her true passion was not in research but in patient care.  In 2001, she successfully moved to the UCSD’s Gifford Clinic and Outpatient Psychiatry Department where she worked as a Clinical Psychologist and provided Clinical Supervision to Psychiatry Residents and attendings as well as clinical Psychology interns. She conducted therapy groups for patients with depression, OCD and Survivors of Violent Loss.

In 2003, Dr. Aylor opened her first Clinical Psychology Private Practice in San Diego, California while remaining onstaff as a Clinical Supervisor for UCSD.

Following her heart, Dr. Aylor chose to join her partner, a Cal Poly Professor, in San Luis Obispo, California and transitioned her Private Practice to the Central Coast beginning in 2008. Her clinical practice focuses primarily on adults with Mood Disorders, Anxiety Spectrum Disorders and Couple’s Therapy.
